Patience to build Confidence:

	Our patience and the dog's confidence are a winning combination for both dog and trainer.

We combine confidence and patience to form a winning team of trainer and dog.  Our program is 

consistent and repetitive so we can get the results from the dogs we train.  Confidence is the most

important aspect that the dog has to gain and maintain to be a successful hunting companion/

working dog on all levels.  It is our job and responsibility to build and maintain that confidence.  

Once confidence is built into the dog it is a 

joy to watch them go about their work with 

joy and enthusiasm.

	We want to teach and train the dog at 

their own pace, and allow the dog to tell us 

that through our evaluation.  Like people, 

dogs have different learning styles and they 

all learn at different paces.  I will work with 

just about any dog, no matter what others 

say about them.  We can work through issues 

that other trainers would give up on a dog for.  

We treat each dog individually and through 

our program we work them into the best retriever they can be.  It would be an injustice to the dog 

if we put them into a regimented program that said in so long it will be past this level or it is not worth 

working with.  I try to be thorough and fair on my evaluation of the dog and honest and up front with 

the owner on the dog's capabilities.
